MOUNTAINS, LAKE and .....PALM TREES

30 KM AND 1’950M+

After a forced two‑year exile, the MXSKY is returning to its home ground on Montreux’s Market Square.
This roughly 30 km race is without question the classic of the Montreux Trail Festival — the one that sells out weeks before the event. It’s also the ultimate training session for the “Five 4000s” race, even if there are no 4000‑meter peaks here… but we do have the lake waiting for you at the finish to make up for it.

After a steep start through Montreux’s old town and the 1,055 steps of the Telegraph Trail, you head straight toward Nirvana… the Rochers de Naye at 2,000 m. No one ever said it would be easy, but keep in mind that after just 13 km, you will already have completed almost all of the positive elevation gain! After a technical section of about 1 km — including the Naye Stairs and the Bonaudon cirque — you will reach gentler trails and make your way to the Col de Jaman. A more runnable section awaits beneath the beautiful Dent de Jaman, and then all that remains is to dive down toward Lake Geneva, literally or figuratively (if you feel like it). And don’t forget to enjoy the magnificent Chauderon Gorges at the gates of Montreux, before the lakeside finish where you’ll be welcomed, as tradition dictates, by the statue of Freddie Mercury.
